Stories

“If stories come to you, care for them.  And learn to give them away where they are needed.  Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.” – Barry Lopez

I was experimenting with texture and side lighting a few days ago and took the images posted below.  Shortly after shooting the images I came across the above quote.  I felt an immediate connection between the two – the quote and the images. The books are old, but timeless.  Stories, old or new, can also be timeless.  Have you ever been in a situation, or feeling a certain way when someone tells you a story about an experience that just happens to be exactly, or very similar to, what you are going through?  That story may have put everything into perspective, changed your attitude about a situation, or softened your heart.  If the story had been withheld, it wouldn’t have made a difference.  Share your stories…..
