“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
– Maya Angelou
In the Victorian Language of Flowers the pink rose represents “secret love” among other things. The images above are of a leaf from a pink rose, shaped like a heart. The meaning of the pink rose, the shape of the leaf, and the quote, collectively create a story. Do you hold a secret in your heart?
Maya Angelou certainly has a way with words, as do you with your beautifully delicate frames. As for secrets . . . .
Thank you ever so much Patti! Many smiles to you! XO
It looks so fragile. Like our hearts and our secrets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB6a-iD6ZOY
Fragile is a great word Don…especially for hearts and secrets. Enjoy the day!

Some secrets need to stay tucked away in the heart. Beautiful work, Robyn
So true Elisa! Have a wonderful day!
Oh, Robyn, this is so beautiful. It reminds me of one afternoon during the winter, several weeks after my dad died. The headstone had just been set, and I went to visit the site. There on the snow were several red rose petals. They had blown over from a nearby gravesite. The family had left a bouquet on the man’s grave (the anniversary of his birth date) and the wind had blown the loose petals. The man had been one of my dad’s dear friends in life, and it seemed he was reaching out to Dad, welcoming him, and assuring all was well.
Such a beautiful memory Marylin. Thank you for sharing it with me. Truly beautiful!
Beautiful words and haunting images!!! Marilyn’s story is perfect too for your image!!
Thank you so much Cybel! I am thrilled to know my post moved you! XO
Beautiful series of photos, and with such words as imagery as well…
