Puppy Love
A portrait of a girl and her puppy at sunset.
This was a fabulously funny shoot. The puppy, who for the past two days since arriving in his new home had spent a lot of time sleeping. He found his energy during the shoot and we all experienced a lot of laughs and a lot of chasing! To view this image in black and white please visit Monochromia for my Thursday post.

Natural light, back lighting, at sunset. I shot low to high to capture the summer haze.

Keep Your Promise
I see thee
The sun at your back
Water droplets rest
Untouched upon you
Like a kiss so gentle
On a lover’s lips.
Your petals so fine
Blow delicately in the breeze
Yet you hang on
With a grasp quite tight
As a flower does
To keep
The promise
Of everlasting beauty.

In the language of flowers the plum blossom means to keep your promise. Although the blossoms are short-lived, the beauty of the flower is everlasting in the eye of the one who was blessed to see and smell it.
