Winter’s Gentle Touch

Winter's Gentle Touch

“Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year…
This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Bit of Adoration

A Bit of Adoration

SS 1/60 f 5.6 ISO 500, Natural Diffused Light

I edited this image in Topaz Black and White Suite using adjustments in the classic black and white program and adding a diffusion edit to give the image a soft, dreamy, appearance of the feeling of adoration, which is one of the meanings of the Sunflower.

“You can’t look in the face of adoration and be cruel.” ~ Claudia Christian

Lucid Dreaming – A Portrait

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming

“Lucid dreaming has considerable potential for promoting personal growth and self-development, enhancing self-confidence, improving mental and physical health, facilitating creative problem solving and helping you to progress on the path to self-mastery.” – Stephen LaBerge

Red Tulips

Believe in Love Declared

Believe in Love Declared

“I love you, I’ve loved you for years and I’ll love you for years more. It’s not something I can fight, it’s not something I want to fight.” ― Somi Ekhasomhi, Always Yours

The red tulip means “Believe Me” and “Love Declared” in the Victorian Language of Flowers, thus the title of this image and the reason I selected it for Valentine’s Day.  I wish you all a day filled with love and joy.

Wishing you a heart full of unfading love throughout the Christmas season.

A House, in Black and White

“I never expected anyone to take care of me, but in my wildest dreams and juvenile yearnings, I wanted the house with the picket fence from June Allyson movies. I knew that was yearning like one yearns to fly.” – Maya Angelou
