A Cage Without a Key

Day two of clouds, fog, drizzle and unseasonably warm weather.  I found the quote below to be applicable to this time of year when the days are shorter and we spend more of our time with dark skies than in the sunlight.  With fog and heavy cloud cover it feels like we are caged in a temple of gloom.  Maybe the sun will peak through tomorrow.  Hoping…..

As an aside, I tried to post this image yesterday with the other two images of the trees in foggy surroundings but for some reason the image would not post.  Perhaps it was meant specifically for today.

"That's the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she sees the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it's impossible to ever see the end. The fog is like a cage without a key." -Elizabeth Wurtzel

A Day in the Fog

"Derive happiness in oneself from a good day's work, from illuminating the fog that surrounds us." -Henri Matisse

"I believe a lot of our lives are spent asleep, and what I've been trying to do is hold on to those moments when a little spark cuts through the fog and nudges you. " - Rufus Wainwright

Color Edit – Quote: “I believe a lot of our lives are spent asleep, and what I’ve been trying to do is hold on to those moments when a little spark cuts through the fog and nudges you. ” – Rufus Wainwright
