Believe in Love Declared

Believe in Love Declared

“I love you, I’ve loved you for years and I’ll love you for years more. It’s not something I can fight, it’s not something I want to fight.” ― Somi Ekhasomhi, Always Yours

The red tulip means “Believe Me” and “Love Declared” in the Victorian Language of Flowers, thus the title of this image and the reason I selected it for Valentine’s Day.  I wish you all a day filled with love and joy.

Happy Valentine’s Day

“The reason why love is eternal is that it does not exist for itself, but gives life to those it transforms.” – Jeffrey Fry

The titles of the photographs of red and white carnations are based on the meaning of red, white, and striped carnations in the Victorian Language of Flowers.  I took the liberty to combine meanings and alter them a bit to ensure that the titles conveyed my vision and intention of each image.

Love stories are journeys.
All have a beginning, all have a middle, and unfortunately, some have an end.
But, as long as there is love, there is hope.
As long as there is hope, there is a journey of love.
This my friend, is the majesty of it all.
