I’ve always thought butterflies needed to be in color to be appreciated…I should have known your photography would make me rethink that, Robyn! This is beautiful.
Here I am, doing my butterfly thing. And there is some human over there pointing her camera at me. I would go over there and tweak her nose. But I really am shy, I really am. Ah, well. It is such a nice day to have one’s picture taken. I think I will relax and give her a nice smile. 🙂
Robyn, I was just going back through some of your older photographs. Just want to say WOW. Some of them are deeply moving. I especially like your black and whites. And I love your choice of subjects as well. You are a poet with a camera. Have you ever thought of publishing a book of your photographs. I am a fan of The Sartorialist (http://www.thesartorialist.com/). He has done two books of his photographs.
Nice catch! Chasing butterflies around my garden has occupied many hours in previous summers. This lovely shot reminds me I have been neglecting the bugs this year.
Beautiful image Robyn! Here’s the butterfly you were talking about right? I’ve often thought of trying one of these photos where there is more white than black. It’s not easy! You made it beautiful.

So happy to know I’ve stimulated your thoughts Marylin…and that you approved of the black and white butterflies! XO
This is so pretty, Robyn! 🙂
Thank you, Linda! Enjoy the evening!
Pretty! Reminds me of the one I did the other day.
Lovely capture…
Thanks Sally!!

Always thinking, aren’t you Don! A lovely little interpretation of the butterflies thoughts!
Not always but I do have my moments. But look what wonderful images I have to inspire me.
This is so beautiful, Robyn!
Thanks so much, Lisa!!!
Thank you Victoria! “Tis the season for butterflies! 😉
Wow, what incredible contrast Robyn…really a brilliant shot.

❤ Love! 🙂
I love this butterfly and its superb detail, then the soft bokeh background. For an image with so much white it works so well!
Great contrasts in this photo!
i like that one a lot!
An ocean of white with one sailor 😉
